Taylor picks up a very minor strain, someone else plays up top. We win. Taylor is fit for the next game. Not a chance he starts on the bench.

Stevens is massively ahead of Eastwood. He starts when fit. Simple.
Your comparison between the Taylor and Stevens situations is erroneous. Taylor currently has no viable competition for his position, whereas Stevens does. And, in my view, Eastwood is by no means massively behind Stevens. He's performed well in the past two games.

I would expect goalkeeper cover to come in before Sunday if Plumley is cup-tied. Either that or we forget he is cup-tied, name Plumley in the squad and get disqualified when he comes on as sub.

Not really.

They are both the number 1 in their position. For me Eastwood isn’t at the same level as Stevens. So it’s an obvious choice for Robinson.

Will this game be on ifollow to watch? I would come but I have a very bad record with watching us against gas. Started with me taking my son to the manor and getting spanked 5-1 . His first match still a fan fortunately!

Ifollow don't have the rights to fa cup games .

I think we'll have to agree to differ on this one, Junior. I think Eastwood is on the same level as Stevens - whom I greatly admire, btw - and if anything his distribution is better.

Could Wayne Brown sign a one game contract to cover on the bench?
feasibly could he be registered as a player?

*wasn't there a FAcup final many years ago, when Wilson, working as a TV pundit, was (re)called up to the Arsenal squad?

* I have a vague memory of this, but it could be nonsense that I imagined?

Have we got a squad place spare for him and/or a loan keeper?
arent limits on squad places only applicable to league games? .... or do they apply to league and all cup/trophy competitions ?

Very possibly , and thinking about it, don't they also exclude keepers?

Anyway, hope we go the youth route for the bench keeper this weekend, the cup is always the place for heroes

I seem to recall 'keepers are excluded.

We've gone the youth route before for keepers.
Manny Agboola was on the bench v Newcastle when we won 3-0 at home and then at Boro also. I think because Stevens had been out on loan elsewhere was therefore cup-tied and we'd shifted Buchel by that point.

If you are good enough you are old enough. *

My nephew is 19, 6ft 7in and a pretty handy keeper but is at Bournemouth Uni so might not be in a fit state after a Saturday night out.

*other football cliches are available :)
