That was the most one sided match Ive seen for a while how they came in at ht only 2-1 up was a mystery. Kane and cam totally bossed midfield ably assisted by JH. Wasnt that impressed by Whyte, thought Agyei looked more effective in his usual short cameo. All in all an excellent performance by everyone. Cam my MOTM closely followed by Mcnally.

Lovely result.

- Very good first 30 minutes. Superb to score from a corner and McNally gets the goal he has threatened for a while.

- Sam Long was my man of the match but McNally and Seddon were good as well.

- After giving Jamie Hanson stick before this game, he had a very good game today. Their goal was the fault of a hospital pass by Herbie Kane to Hanson giving him no chance. Pleased for him.

- There was some nice moves and team play.

- Nathan Holland frustrated me in the 1st half as he wouldn't pull the trigger when he had the chance. 2nd half though was a great improvement on this, finished off with a nice goal.

- Bodin needs a goal as he seemed hesitant/lacking confidence when in a position to shoot although one he delayed I understand as he was trying to open up the far side of the goal. His build up play was good though, especially in the first 30 minutes.

- The midfield gave us the platform to play. Whilst Herbie as at fault for their goal, he was otherwise very good and at times unplayable as was James Henry. Cam Bran gave us so much energy.

- Gavin Whyte gave us something different. His work rate was excellent and in the 2nd half he started looking to run behind their centre halves far more than the 1st half and started getting chances. The more he plays that position, the better his positioning and runs should be. But somebody in the coaching staff needs to talk to him about having belief in himself when shooting as when clean through the shot he had was not very good. I will say I was happily surprised at how well he held the ball up and linked play.

- It was concerning when both centre backs were down injured considering the bench. If none of the defenders out because of Covid can play Saturday then I wonder if he will change his mind and put one of either Golding or Nosakhare on the bench?

- A lot of credit goes to KR for that performance. He really got the team up for it and got the tactics spot on with the squad he had left.

- I enjoyed watching tonight's game on iFollow.

- Unfortunately Rotherham won't be as poor as Fleetwood (although Callum Morton impressed with little service) so can see them exploiting our defensive weaknesses and winning easily. Hopefully I'm wrong though.

good result and we scored from a corner!! Well done Karl and the team.

Takes the pressure off Saturdays game now and if we lose to Rotherham it isn’t the end of the world in my opinion. A draw or even a win would be an incredible achievement! COYY’s

Hopefully Williams back for Saturday to come in for Bodin.

Or you could play McGuane in the centre, and push Henry out wide right. His best moments today (including the build up to the second goal) were out near the touchline.

I'd just echo others' thoughts for Saturday - there's no pressure on us for this one.
Away from home against the perennial yo-yo club league leaders, who right now are both the leading scorers in the division and have the best defensive record, and who just by all accounts battered Ipswich at Portman Road.......with thirteen players out??? Hard to imagine a tougher League One scenario. Get anything out of that one, and it'll be a massive bonus.

Except it's at home 😁

Agree with this other than we are at home Saturday

Fleetwood were abysmal: so loose in their marking and defensive discipline. Have some good players but Grayson has turned them into relegation fodder. They just couldn’t cope with our gusto.

Well done Robbo, gritty backs to wall performance.

Impressed by McGuane tonight, very strong on the ball. But so greedy. Hanson ok but come on chaps he’s vey limited.

Man of the match Sam Long : accomplished. Why isn’t he captain?

Keeper looked short and arthritic dive for their goal but sound enough.

Very pleased I tootled down fhe M40 for that. COYY.
Thought McGuane held onto the ball too long at times when there were simple passes on and then lost the ball, but did good things too.

Key players (Kane/McGuane) were unnecessarily sloppy at times when easier options were on, but did enough tonight against a poor side.

First 25mins was perfect, just a shame we didn’t continue to play like that for the other 65mins, though we did have moments in those 65mins.

Great result considering the situation, but Saturday will be a different story.

Did Karl say at the end of the post match interview whether we had players to return Saturday or not? Couldn’t quite make what he said.

That was a good night under the lights I thought McNally put in a great performance I would even give a shout out to Hanson he was decent tonight the midfield well they’re always superb so fair play bodin didn’t really notice him on the pitch Whyte tried and to be fair was giving the CBs a nightmare with his pace shame he left his shooting boots in Cardiff Holland usual put in good effort and scored a decent goal
Now what was the Fleetwood GK doing I think he thought he was an outfielder at times
My m.o.m would be McNally

KR said that maybe some other players could be available.

Agree with this entirely. Frustrated me how, despite being so bullish to get the ball, he kept having to turn back because he ran into too many defenders instead of releasing the ball earlier.

In all fairness there was a point in the game where McGaune got the ball started his move forward on the right went past 3 Fleetwood players but then got into a pickle because there was no one w he could pass to and did his best to hold up the ball to try and get the pass off, he did have some nice touches.

We will beat Rotherham.
Whilst neither of us can possibly state 100% what the outcome will be, I disagree on the basis of their league position and recent form. We beat a very poor side last night with a patched up team. On what sensible basis do you say we will beat Rotherham? Even with our full first team, this would be quite an ask. Bookies have us at 3/1 against - time for you to lump a couple of hundred on it :)

Saturday is a completely different test. Their forward players are a couple of steps above the Fleetwood ones and will give our makeshift back four and keeper an awful lot more to do. Especially from a physical point of view (Smith/Ladapo)
