they did easily enough to win, backed up by the stats.
We'll have to disagree.
What you do in the penalty areas decides games sometimes. As was the case today.

An infuriating result which doesn't end our play-off push, but certainly makes it all but impossible. Sunderland is a bigger must-win than it already was.
I don't think it's a surprise that another Karl Robinson side bottles it under a little bit of pressure. We did it against Wycombe, we did against Blackpool and we did it against League Two Tranmere in the EFL Trophy semi. We just don't have enough steel about us, and lacked leadership on the field. This hasn't ever been addressed.
And again, our squad building and Karl playing square pegs in round holes costs us again. We had a back four made up of a winger playing right back, a right back playing centre half, a young centre half in his first pro season, and a centre back at left back. If we actually had more than two full backs in our squad, this game of merry-go-round can easily be avoided. And that's before we get onto Kane - a playmaker - playing as a holding midfielder for christ's sake.
Repeated basic mistakes are costing us promotion to the Championship, and with the ambitious ownership, they could end up costing Karl Robinson his job.
sadly trueThe only stat that matters in 2-1
You could add the numerous poor crosses from Williams all night which Henry tried hard to emulate when he came on.Not much more we could have done to win that.
Only real criticisms could be:
Herbie Kane - didn’t play well at all. If Brannagan is back on Saturday it should be Kane who’s dropped, not McGuane - but doubt that will happen.
Gavin Whyte - his finishing and final ball were poor once again.
Karl Robinson: Don’t think he got the subs right.
Yes but we didn’t play badly as such. We were by far the better team who dominated the game and did everything we could to win. Just a big deflection for their first, a Herbie Kane brain fade for their second and then coming up against a massed defence who threw bodies on the line and a keeper who was having a worldieThat doesn't soften the blow of losing, it makes doing so worse.
It's happened too many times.
well youre wrong, simple. We'll have to disagree.

Awaiting planning permission before completing their takeover. They won't sack KR, footballing success is quite a way down their list, its a property deal for them. No, not really the wrong thread. Too many on here (hello Scotchers) thought everything we were doing was flawless - get a successful team first - and we are miles away from that at present - then check out the guys who are (allegedly) "investing" in OUFC - where are they by the way?
Technically yes, but if you’re arguing about did we play well or not, if we’d had 1 shot on target, 0 corners and 20% possession, you’d be saying we were awful, but we clearly battered themThe only stat that matters in 2-1
Tbf stats mean didly squat if you don’t win
He never has!!Spot on regarding his transfer business. KR got it right offensively but didn't pay enough attention to the defence.
Same old story
They show which side played better and dominated the game. Obviously all that matters is the goals. But they are shocking stats which show how much we deserved at least a pointTbf stats mean didly squat if you don’t win
Because of Gorrin's injury and KR's inability realise a specialist defensive midfielder was a priority signing in January, Kane has been used in the wrong position. Move him higher up the pitch and he'll show why he's a million pound player.Do people still want to pay shitloads of £ for Kane ?
