Find Lewington such a fascinating player. Whenever his side are playing well, he looks like a super-dependable, sure-footed, experienced League One player, a real asset. Whenever they're playing badly he just looks like a fat ginger bloke who's somehow found his way onto a professional football pitch.

Superb result. Makes that week of madness all the more frustrating. Definitely represents progress on last season, though. Aside from already having won more points this year than last, we've gone from only winning one game against a top-5 side all season (and an injury-ravaged one at that) to doing doubles over the sides currently in 3rd and 4th (and likely to finish there, if not higher).

Brown was superb, I don’t know what I was thinking giving him such a hard time, since he’s settled in, he’s really sharpened up, and is very solid defensively, lots of good tackles, not much gets past him, another great goal line clearance, good in the air, and he has good vision for a pass as well. Very impressed by him in the last few games, and he’s well and truly won me over! Deserved to be MOTM 👏

Don't forget the long throw!

Love a long throw me

Browny was superb tonight and a deserved MOTM award,

Very poor first half, we couldn't string two passes together, the 'pressing' was so half-hearted and we (again) looked like we were getting bullied physically (Brown aside).

Credit to Robinson, whatever he said at HT obviously got through to the team and we played with much more tempo and the pressing improved. Still, I was struggling to see us scoring from open play as we didn't create many (any?) clear cut chances. A set piece goal looked out best bet.

Again, credit to Robinson as he made the right subs (he so often doesn't, IMO) at the right time. Williams' tenacity and Bodin's class took our performance up another notch and we got a deserved (based on the second half performance) goal.

Performance-wise I thought Brown was motm. Brannagan was really good in the second half. Long improved as the game went on but still doesn't look quite comfortable at RB. Stevens still looks a bit shaky to me. Williams and Bodin should start in place of Holland and Whyte on Saturday, IMO.

So now we seem to have a really chance again. It's not in our hands per se, but win both our games and I think we'll make it. It's the hope that kills you.

Quick word on MK - was surprised/impressed with the noise levels coming from their support, although not selling out their allocation is, quite frankly, embarrassing. Their team looked good and very well coached, but I can't understand why them seemed to be playing for a draw after 60 mins; it bit them on the a**e in the end.

Don't forget season ticket holders are counted even if they don't attend. Tuesday night games have always been poorly attended at the kassam unless a cup game/play off. Being stuck in the car park till 10.30 pm, lack of facilities on site for families to pre eat, traffic and now games being available on ifollow are the main reasons.

Ouch I watched the whole game parked in Minchery Farm live in Steventon and home by 22.05…..

Player ratings hard with such a game of two halves! For me: (5 average, 4 or under poor, 6 or above good)

Stevens: 5 - I wasn’t convinced, his handling looked dodgy and he nearly spilled a couple. I enjoyed his timewasting at the end though!

Brown: 8 - A really good and solid game. Great goaline clearance. Starting to really like this guy

Moore: 6 - Solid enough

McNally: 5 - Not what we’ve come to expect from him recently. Made a lot of mistakes, and was lucky one of them didn’t result in a goal. Gave the ball away a couple of times on dribbles forwards as well.

Long: 6 - Was caught out positionally a bit in the first half but was much better second, more aggressive and got forwards more. Good to see.

Kane: 6 - Some good, some bad.

Brannagan: 7 - Worked hard throughout and had more influence second half.

Sykes: 5 - I thought he was very bad first half but got a bit better later in the game.

Holland: 6.5 - Anonymous first half but suddenly started roasting his fullback in the second!

Taylor: 5 - People won’t be happy but I didn’t think he was that good. Hit a very good chance straight at the keeper and was repeatedly caught offside. Worked hard though and got stuck in at the end, and got the assist

Whyte: 4 - Really not good from him.

All three subs were good especially Bodin - well done Karl 👏

Perhaps would of gave Stevens a 6 as well as Mcnally, we did get a clean sheet against a top 3 side after all. Agree that Sykes and Taylor had poor games and Whyte the poorest of the lot.

What a night! MK got it tactically right first half. Crowded the midfield, not giving our players room for a second touch.
I’m impressed with the way Robinson changed it half-time and we looked a different side in the second half. Also Brown’s best game yet.
Apparently only our second clean sheet in 2022.
All the focus now on Saturday’s game. No need to think further ahead of that right now!!

What a game of 2 halves!
Bodin is a class player, sign him on for next season
Great to see Marcus Browne back
Let's keep believing!
