Is there not some stupid rule that X amount of players from the previous league game have to start?
Or just bung on the kids, risk the fine then qualify by a series of freak results.
Attendance - sub 1k.
So I believe the rule is that we have to play four qualifying players out of our outfield ten, and below is what makes someone a 'qualifying player'
- A player who had started the immediately preceding first-team fixture.
- A player who subsequently starts the immediately following first-team fixture.
- A player is in the list of ten players at the club with the highest number of starting appearances in first-team fixtures in the same season
- A player who has made forty or more starting appearances in first-team fixtures or international equivalents (and not limited to the same club or season).
- A player is on standard loan from a Premier League club or any EFL club operating a category one academy.
So if we - for example - played Mous, Williams, Forde and Hanson, that would be enough to not get fined.
But personally, I'd say that this was a good opportunity for a number of players to get a run-out.
I wouldn't play anyone (except Eastwood) that was in the side on Saturday. But would play all the other senior pros that are fit, and then fill in any gaps with kids.
