Bullshit.

The atmosphere reflected the state of play on the pitch. Tabled turned they would have been on the back of their team.
Nope of course if its closer your more nervous, but we always get behind the side and create bouncing atmospheres, especially in normal times.

Usually non stop singing from the North stand, but was spread out for this game which made it more difficult.

Still, it was a great atmosphere for just 4k. When its 15k its unbelievable.

Wow! Deluded.

Ah well - 6-3! 🤣🤣🤣
Congratulations. You edged us out. You won it in the first leg.

I imagine it’s perspective and you’ll not think there could have been two red cards for your lot in the first leg at critical junctures as well as two penalties. It doesn’t make you deluded it just means you’re more likely to see the angle that validates your existence.

Enjoy the final. We were much the better team in last years final snd lost, it happens 🤭😉

That’s quite positive for someone who spent all week whining about how he’d watching something else and then became miraculously blessed with the gift of aftersight as to how we would get thrashed.
Think you have the wrong poster fella. Never once have I said I’d be watching something else. Perhaps get the right poster before making such an idiotic comment. I’ve posted once in the Josh Ruffels thread before this match thread this week.

Wow. Just wow.
Had you said Hanson Hall, Grayson, Kelly sure.
But deadwood Henry, Barker?
I tend to agree with him plus the ones you mention.

Barker doesn’t do enough for me. Has the odd good run, but too weak and goes quiet too much. And if we want to aim for the autos then Henry’s just not good enough, his legs have virtually gone.

Wow that Taylor is some dirty player, on any other day he could have had 3 red cards! Instead the Blackpool goalkeeper (and captain) gets a yellow card for questioning why an offside decision wasn't given when 3 Oxford players were 10 yards offside! Ballard had his eyes gouged. Stewart had studs down his knees. Maxwell had a late challenge on his ankle. All went without punishment. How bad are officials? We have had so many reds for much less.
F@ck off. See you next season

Wasn’t far off, let’s be honest. Tuesday was shocking. Tonight we saw fans with passion for their club and Tuesday was more akin to a geriatric bingo hall.

You couldn’t even be bothered to go on Tuesday?

He ( Karl) said we were over-achieving/ahead of plan, so I wonder what the plan was?

The same Karl that lied numerous times throughout the season in his interviews? He wouldn't tell you we under achieved would he as he is the captain of the ship.

Apologies Didcotox - somebody else who has used the same picture in their profile!

Congratulations .

Indeed 6-3 is an impressive result over two legs and demonstrates that your victory was no fluke.

You are correct that Taylor was a very naughty boy with that incident and there were maybe a few other incidents that were not great. However, I think you conveniently forget some of the naughty little incidents by your own boys in the 1st leg. I doubt very much you have a team full of angels.

Your keeper got booked for abusing an official. The ball came off your own player, so unless the offside rule has changed it was legal, albeit a lucky deflection.

Good luck in the final.

Given what I saw of the Lincoln v Sunderland game, it should be a very competitive affair.

To have got to the play-offs is a hell of an achievement for this team, especially when you consider that we were looking like relegation candidates for a fair proportion of the season.
Somehow, We clawed our way out and then put together two very impressive runs that got us to this point.
Unexpected or what?
We can bemoan our shortcomings in these two games all summer, but the fact is that we were not ready and not good enough to go up.
Karl alluded to this in an interview recently.
To go on this fabulous journey this season has been a ride of so many highs and lows that It is hard to take in what a ball busting thriller it has been.
It has put me through the wringer so many times but the raw entertainment has been of a rare vintage.
We need to take stock of who we want and who we don’t. Sell a couple and recruit wisely for a proper tilt at winning it next season.
If anything this festival of fluctuating fortunes can teach us, it is to be better prepared for next season.
No flat starts. A team ready to become league winners.
It is within our grasp to do this.
COYY

Anyway was a nervy game, we conceded a few sloppy goals unusually, scored some good ones too.

Oxford played well in spells we kind of sat back and defended what we had a little too much but I suppose circumstances can make that happen.

I would have liked us to keep the ball a bit better like we can at times.

But we got the job done and has some great attacking moments.

Hard luck and you kept going and didn't give up so fair play.

It took one of theirs to tell us what we saw. (y)

We looked good because they weren`t under pressure.

If we had held the 1 goal lead for a while, then get the second the whole mindset would change.

However they had at least 2 other gears to step up to and we only had 1..... fine differences.

Enjoyable game but blown in the first leg not the second.

Ex Scummer or not he was, is head and shoulders above anything we had on the pitch yesterday.

We had in Karl's words the best you can get at this level out with another injury😴 wish Karl wouldn't sign a crock every season and rely on them being injury free and getting up to speed fast.

I'm over critical of Blackpool at times, the mistakes sometimes take more focus than they should. Sometimes looking for perfection i have to remember its league 1.

I know our strengths but its nice to read about the pace and power comments from some and other fans perspective.

Its always interesting to read the comments, sometimes when oxford had the ball im nervous thinking ffs just get it and keep it ourselves and we were sitting too deep, even though we were never really close in score it was just nervy.

But our strike force is pretty decent, Simms is big and strong and can score all types of goals and Jerry is a pest and a good finisher.

We also have pace and skill in mithchell and others.

When we made changes we took off our best defender and who came on used to be our best defender also but he's not played really in months. Plus other changes to key players like Simms going off, we had some good chances later on and if it had fell to Simms he'd probably put one away.

It was just one of those games where goals were going in, each time you scored it seemed to spur us on and up we went and scored again thankfully for us.

Your not a bad side and with nothing really to lose tonight it felt like the pressure was kind if on us, especially after the early goal, that could have changed the course but the response was first class, snuffed out any hopes early on.

I just think our style can counter yours well on occasion, your passing can be slick but most the problems for us came from longer balls not dealt with when they have been most the season.

Anyways what an atmosphere for only 4k, absolutely hoarse.

Youve just got to keep plugging away and try again next season, you'll be in and around the top 6 I'm sure. Whether with Mr Robinson or not, don't really like him as a character what what I've seen of him and his comments didn't seem to match what we saw in the first leg. 🤷

Whether he was offside or not why Maxwell felt the need to go over like he did was unnecessary and daft. He could easily have looked over briefly and said to the ref without the need for that and a booking.

As for the final step, its far from over yet a vital 90 mins left, well have to defend better than we did last night thats for sure.

When we played Lincoln away late in the season we absolutely dominated for 70 mins 2-0 up and should have been more, then sat back and ran out of energy and had virtually no players to change things up at the time, we were on our last legs. Ended up 2-2.

Now we have more players available and a really strong bench, crazy to think what they have done with half the squad out most the season.

Even now we missing a goal scoring midfielder and CJ Hamilton whose lightning fast and can change any game.

Lincoln aren't home and hosed yet and an early Sunderland goal and they can easily wobble. But obviously if no Sunderland goal or a Lincoln goal it could get nasty up there, Sunderland fans aren't really know for their patience.....
