What I find bizarre is that the shenanigans impacting our ability to sign anyone (those damn agents) don't seem to be impacting others in our league who are racking up signings like it's going out of fashion.

Because they jump as high as the agents ask mate. Come on. You know the answer to this. I said before a ball was kicked this season that certain clubs MUST get out this league this year or risk financial struggles. Nobody has pulled away and some have desperately underachieved so they’re going in to the market looking for the thing that might get the job done. It might work, but only 3 can go up and if you’re one that doesn’t then you have a dressing room full of overpaid huffy athletes who were promised championship football next season. And those same agents that got them there will try again to get them out. Not only that, they face another year of bankrolling themselves because L1 revenue will not cut it.

I’m personally proud to be associated with a club that supports itself, doesn’t jeopardise it’s future for instant results and that we actually have the backbone to kick greedy agents in to touch and focus on the ones who actually give a toss about their player and their relationship with clubs.

If it’s L1 football again next season, let’s have it.

Think what KR meant and Radio Oxford alluded to was that he wants incoming players to show some enthusiasm for the badge and not just how much salary they can squeeze out of the club. Probably referring to Browne going to Charlton (if correct) and maybe a couple of others. He (KR) doesn't want to be doing all of the running and chasing but wants some feedback and enthusiasm from incoming(s) - which it looks like he isn't getting and so is losing or letting targets go.

He did mention some enthusiastic conversations as well that he wasn't expecting on the positive side.

Because they are paying silly money, and if I've interpreted KR's comments right (maybe/maybe not) he isn't willing to risk the club paying that money. Wigan will be paying a huge wage for Shinnie as will Sunderland for Roberts.
