Transfer News January 2021/22 Transfer Window

I wouldn’t pay Holland anything more than £3,500 a week, that’s the max I’d pay him & that would put him on par with some of our middle range earners at the moment.
In that case he’s better off staying at WHU and going out on loan until his contract expires.
If that happens to be this summer he may accept.
Unfortunately this is the major problem in football. Prem clubs giving huge salaries to loads of players and when they don’t quite make it they go out on loan but there are very few Kemar Roofes out there who will take a chance and back their own ability

We apparently table a club record bid for one of the league's top scorers and we have some moaning because we're not looking at the next Jamie Hanson instead!!! You've got to love transfer windows!!!
Not at all , just worry that we suddenly throw money away where we could be prudent with it .
If we go and buy more players in other positions than great but not all of it on one player having a great season with no resale value .

I do 😊 but can you tell us if we will hear something soon?

Opinions can differ.

Personally, I would be amazed if we spent such a significant sum on a player of his age, patchy scoring history and probable re-sale value. It doesn't seem to fit with their behaviour to date. I doubt his Championship credentials, so it seems like an awfully high amount for a sticking-plaster.

It doesn't add up.

Why would Cole Stockton join us if he has the likes of Barnsley and PNE sniffing round him surely they can give him a better package also.. I just don't know.

I feel sorry for Thorniley. He's been fine and part of a largely successful team and is now being messed about because his parent club has got a severe case of 'sour grapes-itis'. He isn't going to be playing for them and will probably spend the rest of the season kicking his heels in the reserves there.

Don'r rule out him coming back on a permenant or loan before the window shuts. Sure they don;t really want/need him on the wage bill. There was a reason they loaned him to us in the first place.

Let's see what happens. Personally, if it allows McNally a place in the team, plus if we can bring ANOTHER talented centre half in then this may not be awful news!
