Go back to my post and look at the photo. The match day sponsorsFor some reason the grundon thing absolutely cracked me up when I found out what it meant. Have no idea why it tickled me so. Without wishing to trawl through the entire thread who called him that?
Not sure there was any real intent or malice from George Hirst with the Elliott Moore
incident after Morrell was red carded.
I think they are best mates having played together for OH Leuven in Belgium in 2018-19
Good first effort. Maybe a few more graphics (score and scorer updates) but he generally was quite good at capturing key moments and providing narrative. Well done young manAhh he’ll be so pleased!
Where we're you sat then? Atmosphere was flat when Pompey were winning but as soon as we equalised the atmosphere was the best I've heard for years.
I always call for more shots from distance, as if it doesn't go in, we could get a rebound or the keeper could tip it over or wide for a corner, and it also excites the crowd, who in turn become more vocal, which revs the team up!I’m known for shouting ‘don’t shoot!’ Can’t bear it when someone balloons it over the bar. I’m SSL though.
SSU so got a nice balance of home and away fans.
Frankly, until it went 2-2 the East stand was a joke. So quiet and so flat.
Legitimately, if it isn’t “yellows”, “yellow and blue army” or Robinson yellow army there is nothing. No atmosphere.
People won’t like it, people will have their rose tinted glasses on but it’s true. Our atmospheric home support is dire.
Your post sums it up “Atmosphere was flat when Portsmouth were winning” why does it take us to be level or winning for their to be noise?
If the ref didn’t give the 1st red he would definitely off given the 2nd as a red. They were both red cards. Only had 2 complaints regarding this ref, one was yes he showed balls by issuing the 1st red but lost them for the 2nd, and his interpretation of the time wasting rule.
Can’t blame Pompey for playing the way they did
If they didn’t we would off battered them and it would of been embarrassing for them.
Happens at every home game mate Pompey v Charlton the same. Pompey making noise when it was 0-0 then Charlton scores and it went flat as a pancake. Only started up again when Pompey scored and were chasing an equaliser in the the last 10. Not sure the solution unless we're willing to have a drum?
So …. You could move to the East Stand then?No it doesn’t, not all home fans are quiet at all. Bolton was noisy, Wimbledon was noisy, Wednesday was noisy. Anyway, if every other team was quiet why does that mean our fans have to be? It’s a flawed argument.
No drum. Clap, jump about have some original songs - it’s not reinventing the wheel
Yes I agree on the whole, but shooting from miles out when there’s little chance of scoring is annoying if someone else is in a good position. As a coach myself it’s not advice I’d give to my teams. I’m a firm believer that one of the best ways to score goals these days is by shooting.
In fact I remember reading somewhere that teams that don’t shoot as much tend not to score as many
Right. Just checking here. You're not Mrs. QR in disguise are you?
I learnt my lesson years ago at Kidderminster away. Chris Hackett was having a mare, he shaped up to shoot I said “Nooo” and he scored a worldie.I always call for more shots from distance, as if it doesn't go in, we could get a rebound or the keeper could tip it over or wide for a corner, and it also excites the crowd, who in turn become more vocal, which revs the team up!
SHOOT! SHOOT! SHOOT!
Would you like it if I was?
So …. You could move to the East Stand then?
DurrrrrrrYou mean he had a cold
