Oh so you are happy with entertainment over success then.

You seem to want to have it both ways. You criticise those who are happy to be royally entertained for most of the season even if we don't go up ie what Robinson had served up for four years but are happy to keep Robinson. Yes but no but etc.....
Your correct I want a bit of entertainment and ultimately 3 points , Robinson almost delivers both

Played well but unfortunately not clinical enough. Shame there are 7 or 8 better teams than us this season.

But we didn't stop the ball at source before. Also he is a left centre half playing out of position. Karl needs to sign good players for every position and get rid of the passengers in this squad. If Seddon isn't good enough he should be let go or loaned out next season.
Just because we didn’t stop the cross, it doesn’t mean we can absolve Brown of any of the blame.

Managers that almost deliver are 10 a penny.

Exactly. How many more seasons do the board give Karl to get promotion? They quoted promotion in the next 2 years and although we have had some entertaining games this season the table shows we've gone backwards.

You reckon?
Managers finishing in the top 8, 3 seasons in a row.
There are 10 a penny managers who finish bottom half time after time.
Look at all of the managers Oxford have from Denis Smith first timr through to CW. We had no managers for years who were near ( other than Atkins who was near, playing appalling boring football

Out of 72 teams in the EFL only 10 get success at the end of the season by getting promoted. With the odds then I do think it is important to have a team that are fun and entertaining to watch.

Would people really like to go back and watch an Ian Atkins style every week?

The aim of the board is and has been to go for promotion next season so that will be the time to judge the board and manager. If we don’t look like doing it then Robinson will be gone but he isn’t going to be sacked for just missing out on the play offs this season.

I can't actually believe we lost that match if only we could take our chances that 3 games in s row where we've created lots of chances but nobody to finish them .. oh well league one football next season it is what it is at least it will be fun 🙄 again ... I think we will be seeing Sunderland again next season they weren't very good today

Just because we didn’t stop the cross, it doesn’t mean we can absolve Brown of any of the blame.

I've just watched the replay, Brown went to close down the player closest to him which was just left of centre and they had an overload of the score to the right hand side. The whole defence were too far over and that comes down to not playing with each other in them positions before. Brown is a centre half being forced to play at left back due to the incompetence of the gaffers recruitment. He did a cracking job the rest of the game.

I have no idea what your point is. Denis Smith got us promoted. Wilder got us promoted. Appleton got us promoted. Not 'almost' managers.

Player ratings.

Stevens 6

Long 3
McNally 5
Moore 5
Brown 5

Kane 5
Brannagan 6
Bodin 7 - MOTM for me

Sykes 4
Taylor 3

Absolutely not , I’m a Robbo fan , he nearly gets right , he just sometimes needs to react to the bloody obvious, like strengthening the defence in January
But that's the problem isn't it, he never does!

Well perhaps you should start the KR out thread
Why when I posted this above?
Well, that was our season in a microcosm.

Defensively doggy on the flanks and highly susceptible to break aways. A keeper who doesn't appear to save anything at critical points that isn't fired straight at him*. Plenty of possession in and around the opposition's box that can lead to high scores against lesser defences but is not effective enough against the top teams we need to be equal to or better than if we want promotion.

So what about Robinson? He's made us more entertaining but had failed to strengthen us to the levels needs to gain promotion. I can't see that changing so if promotion is your be all and end all he has to go. It's not mine and I'm happy to be entertained. Maybe that an age thing having 'been there, done that' and knowing how bad it can be (the conference days) but I might not think the same if I were twenty years younger!

When is someone going to ask why other teams' keepers keep pulling off critical 'worldies' but Stevens doesn't?

Yep absolutely “Gaffers Recruitment”, so if we as fans can see it, why don’t Rad Ox get on to it, and ask him these pressing questions. Surely they can see it too. Get Stevie K to interview him. I’m sure he’d press him with some tough questions. KR gets an easy ride from Nathan and Jerome imo.

For me, Robinson has until December to prove he can build a good BALANCED squad and challenge for the top of the table positons next season. If not then we’re, at best, treading water if not on the decline and, after nearly 5 years, it‘ll be time to part ways.
