If this is the case, you'd have thought he would need to stay with us until after the window otherwise Derby will have all the information under the sun that Thomas possesses. No idea how this all works, but you'd have thought you'd protect our information with a "transfer window" contract employment release after the window shuts or a period of gardening leave.

It was reported elsewhere that he turned down Portsmouth but haven’t seen it anywhere about him leaving for Derby. Does anybody know if his replacement will be fresh blood or internal, assuming he is replaced.

Given our last few windows I'm not sorry to see the person who heads our recruitment leave. Surprised he's still here for this one, as soon as it was known he's off to another club I would've placed him on gardening leave until the 1st February to protect our targets. Could he save targets for his new club?

Glad we had a shaky second half last night too, wouldn't want anyone to think the squad was complete after an excellent first half.

I think you might want to reconsider that point of view. A little more nuance as to why individuals may want out - see also, another recent departed employee who was perhaps frustrated at not being listened to.

He sounds expensive so doesn’t fall in the ‘bargain’ bracket! But whoever picked him out of the wilderness deserves proper recognition - fair play to Tiger if he’s the man to thank. I’ve really enjoyed his development over recent weeks.

I dont doubt there maybe something in that. Hopefully Williams and Ferguson will see firsthand how dysfunctional our recruitment processes are and deal with what or whom makes it so difficult for us to sign quality, fit players and deal with it/them accordingly.

You could kind of thank Tiger as he was only aware of Anderson & Wildschut due to an agent relationship & that agent recommending both for a club struggling to sign players.
