Fantastic result today.

Kudos to Des and the staff. An excellent set up to start with and subs that positively influenced the game.

Smyth was superb, not just the goal but his all round play. Harris also had a good game again and deserved his goal.

Noise in the away end was lacking for large parts and I thought it was a pretty mediocre following. Fair play to everyone else that travelled.

Let’s get the striker done, along with the naming of the analyst and assistant ahead of Coventry next week. Free hit of a cup tie and one we shouldn’t fear. Up the Ox

Any information on the striker EC?

That goes down as one of our best results of the season, if not the best. Squad full of injuries especially in the forward area, and mostly the same players who must be knackered having to play every few days as a result. To drag that back from 1-0 down so early when confidence must have been fairly low anyway was some effort from this bunch of lads, especailly with the formation change etc…

Well done Des and the lads, couldn’t have asked for a better way to start the year, brilliant result. Special shout out for Oisin goes without saying, what a strike!

Thanks for sharing. Sad to see MApp getting the treatment - albeit on current results it’s hard not to understand where the Charlton fans are coming from.

We know from his time here he’s not a great starter and needs a bit of time to embed his style, identity and ethos - and a few windows to get the right personnel to implement it.

Maybe he’s the kind of manager who needs the protection of a ‘long term project’ vision as there’s some short term pain whilst he puts the pieces together. Wonder whether CAFC’s ownership will give him that (and probably why he supposedly was interested in coming back to us when we recruited Manning).
