First goal was Moore's and Brown's fault, obviously it's the first time they've played together so mistakes will happen. Second goal was a great counter attack goal and sometimes you have to applaud the opposition. Atleast you can't call us boring. 😁 No one is getting close to Wigan and Rottherham to be fair, they've been consistent all season.
Agree with that

Why do you have to be stood up to be loud?
You don't, but the two tend to go hand in hand. It's why when a player goes through on goal everyone naturally stands up. It's a natural reaction and being sat down tends to lead to feeling more subdued.

I used to stand in the East stand and now sit in the south stand lower. The difference in how it 'feels' is noticeable for me, and I imagine for others too.

Great counter attack yes but our communication was at fault - if Brown was tracking the ball then Moore should either be calling to hand over the ball carrier or slotting across to keep the position Brown had left. Instead we left a massive gap to be passed into for Curtis. But I think that was also partly due to them playing together for the first time.

You don't see many singer's
Sat down
Unless your a crooner.
😭😂 🎵🎶It's too good to be true🎵🎶😉

3000 fans in the east stand alone
Should be enough on its own to generate an atmosphere all match. Winning, losing or drawing
To create an extra percentage to the team . Onwards & upwards to victory.
All I say is sing &cheer your team to victory☺️
Scrongo, I need to ask if you actually get to many away grounds because I go to 99.9% of them and not many home crowds have disturbed me at all. I understand some of your logic that at home especially with the season finely balanced it does at times go deathly quiet but it is genuinely the largish away followings wherever you go will make the most of their particular day and bang up the noise....its what away followings do! But I do understand more originality and noise is required at times.

If you came to the majority of Oxford away days (and perhaps you do - but sit in the janitors office underneath the stand) this is very evident and tbh I've given up counting the times that the home crowd have been silent and their tongues have been tied around their dentures Pompey included! However, for a starter for ten, I do believe if some of the future floaters who are maybe thinking of coming along to the next few home matches to perhaps come and join us in the North Stand and enjoy some of the joviality and Sundayesque morning service banter.

On the subject of raising the noise levels and this is something I have touched on before - is now that we are becoming a threat at corners I do think we need as a collective to show a little more enthusiasm in ramping up the noise. I'm not shy at my age to give it some welly...probably enough to fill a pair! Don't be shy!

Thank you for understanding some of my logic.
As for going home & away. I have done , like I have said on a couple of occasions since 1967
So I think I should have a bit of a clue by now.

I think it’s unfair to be critical of east stand. Normally we are responsible for any atmosphere in that soulless dump.

Here’s an idea, why don’t we in the east stand let you lot start the singing in future, and do what we do with the giant banners, and flags.

Cheer up mate, we are going up this season.

You’ll be waiting a very long time

Sorry if asked earlier up the thread, but what's the deal with Pompey away tickets? Any news on when they're going on sale?
