MK looked like they came for the win in the first half but the draw in the second, they took off their best player no 18 and it killed their momentum, the goalie and their no 6 kept pumping balls over to their right hand side and brown won every header, Taylor was a real pain in the a**e for their defenders and bosons goal was a proper strike.

Lovely result as others have said a game of 2 halves. Brown rightly man of the match. Great to see Browne back and his touch was excellent in the brief time he was on.

The other bonus of the winner was it shut that drummer up. The Dons fans made decent noise, just the bloody drum was so loud it drowned a good chunk of it out. They still put the Sunderland away support to shame as the MK supporters were far noisier.

Bonus points for their use of the “Oxford’s a shithole…” chant.

Kept imagining the MK fans trying to keep a straight face as they sang the praises of their Frankenstein town.

Entirely fitting of a franchise club, I guess. Just try and ignore history and culture and hope no one notices.

I REALLY enjoyed that win. Few thoughts...

Brown deserved his MoM. A busy night and did nearly everything well. I especially loved the moments where he was fractionally out of position or off balance but didn't panic or overthink and just got a toe or glancing head onto the ball to relieve pressure. Old school basics.

Taylor a close second for me despite the bad miss. Outstanding work rate and clever running. Was let down by team mates delaying the final ball *much* too often though. Both his annoying offsides tonight were down to hesitant passing.

On that, Holland and Whyte's decision making in the final third was just not good enough tonight.

Cameron Brannagan is a manic, majestic ball of energy and a joy to watch.

Credit to the noisy MK away support (despite that drummer). I'm of a generation that'll never forgive or forget the history but there's clearly a few hundred folk in MK who are at least trying to create something from scratch that most of us at proper, historic, legitimate football clubs take for granted. Hate the sin, love (or patronise) the sinners.

It's silly to have a player of Herbie Kane's quality pretending to be a disruptive defensive midfielder. Sam Long is a dependable but very limited lower-lower league right back. Kieran Brown would do all the good things he does but more effectively in his real position. There are glaring gaps in our squad. I'm a fully fledged passenger on the positive bus but those on here who ask questions about mentality and squad balance are right and should be respected. Just a few tiny tweaks to the squad shape would have us sitting pretty by now.

Marcus Browne glides. Rusty but quite obviously a class above.

Mark Sykes confuses me. That's ok. That he seems to confuse his teammates is more concerning. Constantly running into spaces noone else is even looking at. Skillful player and can sometimes change games but frustrating as hell. Also feeble in the air and on 50:50s

Liam Manning is impressive and his summary of the game fair.

However things pan out over the next couple of games we've really really missed Alexander Rodriquez Gorrin. Half a dozen goals from the edge of our area and at least 6 dropped points wouldn't have happened with A Rod in the side.

Credit to the young kids with the flags and banners in the East Stand. And for what you're doing at away games too. It's easy to moan and find fault but appreciate it 👍

That was a good evening out mk fans were loud and put some bigger teams fans to shame fair play
We in th first half looked like we was on the beach we had no energy no movement couldn't pass or barely get near the ball
Second half I dunno what was said at half time but we had fire in our bellys we wanted every ball we remembered how to pass mk didn't know what to do with us so they tried hanging on for the point.. Taylor was superb brannagan was his usual self but ciaron brown is becoming a must have in our starting 11 he was superb again and deserved his M.O.M award
Well we go on to Rotherham who at the moment are wobbling like jelly they really could bottle it so we should go there and make it horrible for them

I find it a little odd suggesting that Brown would be more effective in his 'real position' having possibly being the best player on the pitch in a win against the team 3rd in the league.
Since he has been here, to me he seems to have played better at left back and now looks a solid player.

Let's not overlook the contribution of Ryan Williams in the goal. Hassled Lewington into making the hurried pass which Bodin nicked off the toes of McEachran. Can anyone see Sykes or Whyte putting in that sort of effort?

Having been MoM a couple of times when we were "bare bones", I'd be giving him more pitch time than either of those two....

Absolutely agree. He might think he’s a centre half, but he’s a left back!

Thought both Sykes and Whyte in particular had exceptionally poor games. Sykesy lost his footing on at least three occasions and got mugged on the ball so often in the first half and Gavin appears low or even devoid of any confidence in my view. Some huge decisions for Robbo at Rotherham this Saturday.

Agree with Whyte, disagree with Sykes. Thought he put another shift in and was constantly pressing. Made some great runs down the right side second half.

And I still rate him over Jordan Thorniley[emoji6]

Give Brown game time and a settled defence, coupled with our coaching, and we have got a very good solution to the left back issue (and a long throw for good measure). I think we need to sign him if Cardiff are prepared to let him go in the Summer. As he's already 24 do Cardiff see him as a realistic prospect for them going forward?

Just about to say the same both Whyte and Sykes were too weak on the ball
I also felt that in the first half Kane made so many back passes I feel he thought we were actually kicking towards the Jim Smith stand
