Transfer News January 2021/22 Transfer Window

Agree. ‘Not bothered’ is a bit of a diss to Thorniley who has been decent. It would mean bedding in another centre back (McNally of course would be involved too) and I’d rather a settled squad with a few additions than swapping out another regular starter.

If he goes back, so be it. There’s the risk with loans. It’s easy to make this look like pettiness on Blackpool’s part but they’ll have to front up his wages now if he doesn’t play or add him to their squad if they don’t send him out on loan again. They’ll only be creating a minor headache for themselves.
"Being decent" is hardly a ringing endorsement of a player. I wouldn't have been impressed if he ended up as a permanent makeweight in a deal for CB. Thinking about it, "decent" is a description that could be applied to many of the present squad.
But "decent" doesn't get you into the Championship and certainly won't keep you there. If we don't sign in this window the pace; athleticism and character that we all know should have been signed in the Summer, then we won't be getting there this season either.

I did enquire about the Pep comment when I first got sent it, and like you I tried to remember if we played City in pre season - we obviously didn't.

The explanation I received was that "pep" was a typo for "he".

Take that as you will..

Makes more sense, seeing as we did play them at the start of last term
