Our players need to much time on the ball ,Ipswich just did not mess about .Fast and slick. I don't think we will go down but we aren't going up either.

That was a tactical complete mess by the manager. Anderson has started looking comfortable at RB. Long had his best game in ages last time at CB. It was perfect to go to a back 5 against Ipswich if you were bringing Moore back in. But the manager messed up big time and Anderson has no clue playing midfield and Long is not good enough any more at RB. Midfield was not existent, Cam looks completely lost, McGuane found out not good enough against better players.

What is telling is that the fans seem to have downed tools as well. Only 550 to an away game on Boxing Day must be unheard of for us. Maybe the league has stuffed it up by not making the bank holiday matches as local ones and Ipswich is about the worst journey you can get on a good day anyway, and it being on ifollow probably didn't help. But if the next 2 home games show a similar trend of low crowds then there is a problem that will need to be addressed. If the manager is not careful he may miss his evening of personal glory on the telly in a couple of weeks, but no doubt he will pull something out of the fire in the last chance saloon and be reprieved.

You’re right, Brown isn’t the best as wing back but today would have been a good one for a surprise five at the back system.

Ipswich look the best side I've seen at this level for years. I'm struggling to think of any squad as good since we've been in this division.
And yet in the last couple of months Lincoln have won there, Cheltenham and more recently Fleetwood have both drawn there.
Two of those teams going into today were below us, Lincoln one point above.
Today also equaled their best win of the season 3-0 on four occasions. They're good but certainly not the best I've seen in L1.
We were a shambles that's why we were well beaten, simple as that.
We have won 6 out of 22 games this season. That is very poor considering what funds KR had at his disposal. The guy is completely incapable of forming a fit and balanced squad, the main reason we are where we are in the table. A change should have been made a couple of months ago. But maybe the board aren't as ambitious as we are being asked to believe!!

last seasons Oxford United wouldve competed with todays Ipswich side (who were very well organised, and quick) - sadly this seasons model isn't quite up to the the standards of the class of 2021/22
Agree, think with the actual quality of the rest of the league this season, only a few top top teams, last season’s squad would be playoff material.

We’re miles off and made a good side look better than they are.

Our midfield was dreadful today and Brannagan was as poor as anybody on the pitch. He seems a shadow of the player he’s previously been, right now.

3 wins in 15 is unacceptable.

Thats around half what we expect to take to such a game. Did we not take 1000 ish last time?

It is a Gorrin replacement we miss the most.
We needed a Gorrin replacement before he got injured last season. Never good enough for a top-half League 1 side. I kind of admire Robinson on one hand for giving him a contract extension (compassion), but on the other hand..... If he had not suffered the injury, he should have been moved on, so should he have been that sentimental.....

How dare you dismiss our famous unbeaten run so brazenly.

We went from 10 points off the playoffs to just nine points off the playoffs, across almost 10, glorious weeks of sheer invincibility.

Disappointing that you have chosen to stray from parroting brain dead statistics.

They will write songs about that unbeaten run in the future, epic ballads.
