The usuals coming out with conspiracy shite!

The game was called off by the referee who are being asked to assess conditions earlier to take into account the travel time for the opposition.

The covers have been used to good effect in the past and there have been times when we've played and others haven't. The overnight temperatures dropped more than expected and it was felt by someone independent of both clubs that playing conditions would have been dangerous for players.

What about the heat lamps? Were these used?

By the way, my comments are just about the game being postponed and not any conspiracy theory etc.

Just felt the decision was made too early and feel other things could have been done e.g. heat lamps in the areas shadowed by the south stand etc.

They did it early to ensure Barnsley fans weren't forced to start travelling. Putting fans first. The right decision, surely. Not even sure why some are criticising it.

Don't really understand why we are still going on about this the game was called off the pitch was frozen end of ....as for those saying it was called off to early imagine if we were away to Barnsley and you put fuel in your car started travelling just to have to turn around you'd be a bit pissed off wasting money so it was the right thing to do

Don’t think it’s a heat lamp as such, it’s a light for growth so if it was -6 at the kassam it wouldn’t have had much effect at all. That south stand is a nightmare through the winter and the pitch sees no sunlight to thaw it out unfortunately

Oh okay, but the club referred to them along with the pitch covers in terms of hoping that the game would go ahead the day before, so thought they must generate some kind of heat etc

I think the Kassam is at a slightly higher elevation. And also the women are tougher.
