Amusing but why would you film that in the 1st place other than to make yourself look like a Muppet?!

It isn't even close to the vlogs where people are at the game, just plain weird.
I think it’s a live stream and these are the highlights. Lot’s of people doing it on Twitch and I suppose it’s a chance for people to sit in their pants, watch from their bedrooms and ‘engage’ with like minded people.

Each to their own but it is still plain weird to me. Or I'm just old. :)

Some slightly longer highlights (including the whole shoot-out) from Swansea TV...

Thought McGinty wasn’t to blame for either goals, especially the second one.
Positionally correct, just unlucky.
I thought he positioning for their first goal was poor. Dived too late, but shot was hit hard. And you could blame him for causing the free kick which led to their goal.

All part of the learning curve I guess. Overall I just felt his kicking was more accurate, but still made the odd error like Stevens or a Eastwood.

And as I said in an earlier post, he needs to look to his left when he has the ball for quicker distribution. A couple of times in the 2nd half Findlay and Seddon were free, but he played it to Moore who was in a tighter situation (who also seems lackadaisical at times) who then passed to Golding too slow putting him under pressure, whereby, there was lots of room/space on the left.

I mean you would 100% blame him for giving away the free kick for the first goal - if he'd just stood and waited at the edge of his box, he could have picked it up! It was not a perfect through ball, and it shouldn't have been a dangerous situation. But it was an understandable error - he's a 22-year old making his debut for the club.....just a little overexcited and trying to make an impact when a calmer head was needed. I would hope that, when he's got a few more games under his belt and is more relaxed, he's not going to keep making that sort of mistake again.

Overall, promising. Hopefully he'll continue to play in all the cup games going forwards while Easty holds the fort, for the time being, in the league.

Speaking as the Goalkeeper union, he slipped and instinct to fall on the ball and momentum then take the ball outside the box.

Has gone without comment but i felt the Ref was very sensible and used commonsense when giving just a yellow.

Also a former member of that union myself!

Way I see it, when the oppo is playing a through ball, there's some where you have to rush out full pelt to get there before the striker, and some where you can just calmly stroll out and collect at the edge of your area (assuming your starting positioning was good - which McGinty's was).

The one in the 5th minute yesterday was actually the latter, but he played it like the former. Undoubtedly and understandably because he was making his debut and had 1000 ccs of adrenaline coursing through his veins. Hence the slip, hence the handball, hence the unnecessary free kick, hence the goal.

In future games, when he's not quite so hopped up, I very much doubt that's going to be a recurring error.

Looking at the highlights, and not having been at the game, Gorrin seemed to jump up and out of the way of the free kick when watching the ball he might have blocked it. It also looked like Gorrin making the rash challenge leading to the rebound for their second goal. Good pressing by him for our goal but looks, as would be expected, as if he is some way off being match sharp.

Didn't realise there were so many forum members who weren't good enough to play outfield football in their youth! ;)
Thrown in goal as an 8/9 year old in the park against much older guys( some grown men) including the likes of David Moss. They were very surprised by what they saw.

Specialist position old boy:D

Yes it was Gorrin who deflected the ball towards the goal scorer for their second. Very unfortunate though - he made the interception and it was unlucky to divert the ball where he did.

Although he did replicate it for our first goal too.

He’s clearly The Magnet 2.0!
