Surely there will have to be a pitch inspection today when I cycled from littlemore to headington this morning everywhere was frozen including my toes lol

That was brave. I generally go for a cycle every morning, but took one look today and went on the exercise bike instead.

Pitch covers protect against freezing down to -5/-6 degrees - Benson was -8C last night....

It’s always colder in Benson, but don’t suspect the game to go ahead!

Glad they’ve made the call early. Would have been a really dangerous pitch to play on - can’t imagine how hard the ground would have been by the second half.
